Applicants for Publisher

Interested persons should submit cover letters, resumes, letters of reference, etc., to the Office of Campus Activities & Programs, 221 Elliott University Center, no later than noon, Wednesday, November 19, 2008.

Applicants should posses the ability to effectively manage people and resources; and meet deadlines. Experience with budgeting is preferred. Students with degrees in Business, English or Communications are desired. It is a salaried position.

Responsibilities include:

* Ensuring the publication of The Carolinian on time and within budget. * Managing a financial and distribution staff * Preparing semester printing budgets. * Preparing guidelines for campus distribution points, as well as guidelines for ad submissions to The Carolinian and billing/collections procedures.

Applicants for Opinions Editor

Interested persons should submit a cover letter and resume to the_carolinian@hotmail.com no later than 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2008.

The position of Opinions Editor requires that you be able to maintain and work with a balanced staff of columnists, copyedit both staff and reader-supplied content, and consistently meet weekly deadlines.
