Davidson 69, UNCG 57 (Dec. 19)
UNCG dropped its first SoCon game of the season against the Lady Wildcats. Plagued by another poor shooting performance, the Spartans were unable to overcome Davidson, despite a season-best 16 points from Jasmine Byrd. KaLeah Latham added 13 points, and Boone also contributed 10 second-half points.
UNCW 65, UNCG 54 (Dec. 21)
The Spartans continued their shooting woes as they dropped a second straight decision despite Boone matching her career-high of 18 points. She also had seven assists, eight rebounds and six steals. UNCG shot a season-low 24.1 percent in the first half.
Coastal Carolina 68, UNCG 54 (Dec. 31)
Boone had a team leading 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals as the Spartans losing streak climbed to three games on New Year's Eve. The Spartans trailed the entire game, despite a 26-9 run in the second half. Sophomore Meghan Chamberlain had nine points for UNCG in her first start of the season.
Chattanooga 82, UNCG 75 (Jan. 2)
The Lady Mocs shot an impressive 63.3 percent in the second half to overcome a 10 point halftime deficit to take the win. UNCG was led by Byrd, who shot 5-of-10 from three-point range and had a season-high 21 points. Despite the loss, it was a career night for sophomores Boone and Chamberlain. Boone recorded her first career double-double with 11 points and 11 assists while Chamberlain had a career-high 15 points off of 7-of-9 shooting.
UNCG 69, Furman 66 (Jan. 7)
The Lady Spartans snapped their four game losing streak against the Paladins and picked up their first Southern Conference win of the season. UNCG was led by Byrd who had 13 points while Otamiri added 12 points and a career-high five assists. Junior Jasmine Dixon sunk the game-winning free throws with 54 seconds left to lift the Spartans to victory.
GA Southern 74, UNCG 63 (Jan. 9)
Boone had a career day with 25 points and eight steals. She was also perfect from the charity stripe, hitting 9-of-9 free throws. Chamberlain, who came in the game averaging 10.6 points in the last three contests, added 11 points for the Spartans.
MEN
UNCG 85, Greensboro College 47
(Dec. 16)
Kevin Oleksiak set a Spartan record with nine 3-pointers to go along with a career-high 31 points against the Pride. Dwayne Johnson also had a career-high 12 points.
Delaware 89, UNCG 77 (Dec. 19)
UNCG fell to Delaware despite 22 points and nine rebounds from Ricky Hickman. Oleksiak contributed 15 points and Kyle Hines added 14 points and 13 boards.
William & Mary 83, UNCG 73
(Dec. 21)
Oleksiak recorded his third 20-point game of the season, scoring a game-high 21 points. Hickman and Hines had 18 and 15 points, respectively.
NC State 83, UNCG 52 (Jan. 3)
Hines scored 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting, but the Spartans were overmatched against the then 13th ranked Wolfpack. Hickman also had 13 points and four steals.
Chattanooga 78, UNCG 69 (Jan. 7)
Hines scored 23 points and Hickman added 20, but UNCG struggled mightily from 3-point range, connecting on only 7-of-28 shots.
