Issue date: 11/7/06 Section: Corrections
In the Oct. 31, 2006 issue of The Carolinian, there were errors in the story, "BYOB event replaces alcohol with ice cream." The event actually took place on Wednesday, not Thursday as written, and tabling was held by VOX: Voices for Planned Parenthood.
Secondly, in "Candidates stick to partisan rhetoric in U.S. House races," we named Democrat Mel Watt as the only African American in the congressional delegation for North Carolina. This is false. Rep. G.K. Butterfield of the 1st District is also African American.
Also, in last week's Opinions section Matt Comer's article, "N.C. State's ugly, red, anti-gay face," mistakenly printed with the text of a column from the previous week. The correct column can be found on page five.
