Katlyn insists on one piece of advice: "Invest in some good baby powder!"

Last season, style stars touted jean mini skirts, spandex leggings, and ugg boots. But the judges have ruled: the Jessica Simpson look is out. According to Katlyn Gross, furry footwear only produces sweaty feet (hence the call for deodorizing baby powder).

Rather than toasting your toes in layers of faux fur (or exhausting your paycheck on Johnson & Johnson products), cool off with spring's airy look. Senior apparel design majors Katlyn Gross and Sara Phelps line up this season's wardrobe.

2007 Must-Haves for Women

Livin' on the Wedge
From espadrilles to stacks, ankle-ties to peek-a-boo toes, step into any shoe with a heel. For something more comfortable, finish your outfit with classy yet casual ballet flats.

Dress to Impress
It's the season of the dress, and anything goes: baby dolls, peasant shifts, kimonos, A-lines, and what Katlyn refers to as the "vintage-inspired." Spotlights focus on florals and polka dots in spring's staple colors: black, white, and yellow.

Going to Great Lengths
"This season is going to be more conservative in hem lengths," says Sara. Capris have fallen off the map while hot pants are as last season as Britney Spear's hair. Instead, choose a mid-length hem or city-style shorts. Cuffs are back.

A Patented Product
Black is the new black, but with one added element: a glossy sheen. Patent leather accessories "provide a perfect contrast to the softer and more romantic looks of spring" according to style expert Sam Saboura. They also offer a bonus: a sleek belt can step up last summer's outfit. Recycle!

Within Your Grasp
Keep your friends close... and your accessories closer. Clutches can add a flourish to any designer, from Wal-Mart to Vera Wang (may you have the privilege to choose between the two someday).

3 Key Looks for Men
Inspired by the Great Outdoors!

Come Sail Away
"Anything clean that doesn't need to be ironed" seems to serve as College Boy's morning mantra. On the other end of the spectrum, fashion gurus throw out prissy terms such as "maritime" or "nautical." In reality, the middle ground translates into "sexy sailor" look. Think James Bond in his beach scene: khakis, cotton or linen shorts, polos, and boating loafers in navies, whites, and neutrals.

Beach Boys
Dress down the nautical look into the 2007 "spring break" style. Cargo or board shorts can be paired with polos, t-shirts, and flip-flops.

Safari Chic
Killing lions, eating grasshoppers, dancing with a bushman. Alas, unless you call TransAfrican Air right now, your safari will just have to circle around North Carolina. The style is still rugged though: cargo-detailed shirts and 5 pocket-shorts with sandals or even flip-flops.

Fashion Graveyard
Let these styles R.I.P.!

1. Bum Billboards ("No more velour jumpsuits with "Saucy" tattooed across the butt!" says Katlyn)

2. Shredded Jeans (The weed-wacker should stay far away from your pants!)

3. Mini mini skirts (offenders, you know who you are! Or at least, the rest of us do.)

4. Hip belts (why draw attention to the widest part of your body?)

5. Men's "European Fit" Jeans (Read: Men in Tights)
