Strong Bad, Home Star, and the whole gang say "hello!" Whether you know the characters or not, it can be a rather addictive surfing expedition when one reaches HomestarRunner.com.
HomestarRunner.com is a great, clean alternative to the jokes on Comedy Central and some YouTube videos. The website is primarily about the main character Home Star Runner and his friends and their escapades. There are a wide variety of characters that one might find amusing. There is Strong Bad, who answers emails in a very tongue-in-cheek fashion; Marzipan, the airhead of the gang; and Home Star, a supposed star athlete. Whether you think you have a bit of a childish sense of humor, consider yourself easily amused, or are just looking for something silly, you might want to check out the website. If you find toothpastefordinner.com and comic strips amusing than you should definitely visit the site.
Not only are there cartoons, games, characters, downloads, and a store to buy gear, the website is also full of pop culture references, random statements, and great one-liners. There are downloads for AIM icons, wallpaper for your background desktop, and all the music on the website is available as free download. Not only is the Home Star gang available at the website, you can download the podcast from their website as well. Also, if you enjoy old-school arcade games or original songs then you are in for a real treat.
The website itself is updated with Flash animation videos on a regular basis. The co-creators, Mike and Matt Chapman, also known as The Brothers Chap, designed their entire website using Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash. The site also features a sketchpad of the earlier drawings and you can see how HomestarRunner.com has evolved over the years.
There really isn't an age limit to the humor of HomestarRunner.com. Newbies beware: check it out and you might become addicted, because "on a scale of one to 10, [it's] super great," according to Strong Bad.
