By this point in the semester, many of us may be getting pretty worn-down. With about half of the semester behind us, now is not the time to get down.

To cheer the student population up after nights of sleepless of cramming and studying, here are two very decadent recipes to keep you (and maybe a loved one) asking for more. Everybody loves homemade goods over the store-bought stuff, and with these recipes you are sure to impress your stomach.

Homemade Truffles

•1 can sweetened condensed milk
•2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
•1 cup milk chocolate chips
•1/4 cup cocoa powder
•3 tablespoons cocoa powder, set aside
•1/3 cup powdered sugar

Place the condensed milk, both kinds of chocolate chips, and the 1/4 cup cocoa powder into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50 percent for 2 minutes; remove and stire. Return for 30-second intervals, still at 50 percent, stirring until the mixture is smooth. Cover and chill for 3-4 hours until firm.
Once firm, combine powdered sugar and remaining cocoa powder in a bowl and sift to get rid of any lumps. Scoop up a tablespoon of the chilled chocolate and roll it into a ball. Roll in the powdered sugar mixture and place on a plate or in paper candy cups. Chill again for 2 more hours or until firm.

Swiss Chicken Dinner

•1 chicken breast
•1 teaspoon salt
•2 tablespoons cream sherry (optional)
•1/3 cup whipping cream
•3/4 cup shredded swiss cheese
•1/2 teaspoon paprika
•1 box of your favorite noodle

Place chicken in a microwave-safe dish. Meanwhile, mix the salt, sherry, and whipping cream in a bowl and pour over the chicken. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and cook at 70 percent for 4 minutes; stir when done. Cook again for 1-2 minutes. Cut into the chicken to see if the middle is done; if not, cut lengthwise across the middle to help it cook faster. Top with cheese when cooked through and microwave at 100 percent for 30 second.s When completely done, cook noodles in the microwave dish as recommended. Top the noodles with the chicken and enjoy!
